Injury Free Workplace Policy

Our company is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors. This policy outlines our commitment to preventing workplace injuries and illnesses by establishing clear procedures for reporting incidents, investigating causes, and implementing corrective actions.

This policy applies to all employees, supervisors, and management personnel who are involved in the day-to-day operations of the company. It is every individual's responsibility to report any hazards or near misses to their supervisor or a designated safety representative. By working together, we can minimize the risk of workplace injuries and illnesses.

Reporting Incidents​

All incidents involving injury or illness must be reported immediately to the supervisor or HR department. The incident will be documented on an Incident Report Form and reviewed by the Safety Committee to identify any underlying causes. If necessary, a root cause analysis will be conducted to determine the factors contributing to the incident.

Investigations and Corrective Actions​

The Safety Committee will conduct a thorough investigation into each reported incident, including:

  • Review of relevant policies and procedures
  • Inspection of equipment and work processes
  • Interviews with witnesses and personnel involved in the incident
  • Identification of any necessary corrective actions or training

Corrective actions may include but are not limited to:

  • Re-training employees on proper safety procedures
  • Modifying work processes or equipment to eliminate hazards
  • Implementing new policies or procedures to prevent similar incidents

Hazard Reporting and Corrective Action​

Any employee can report a potential hazard by completing an Incident Report Form. The Safety Committee will review the report and take corrective action within a specified timeframe.

Employee Involvement​

All employees are encouraged to participate in the safety process through:

  • Reporting hazards or near misses
  • Participating in regular Safety Committee meetings
  • Suggesting improvements to work processes or equipment
  • Attending safety training sessions

Compliance with Regulations and Industry Standards​

Our company will comply with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations regarding workplace safety. We will also adhere to industry standards for workplace safety as established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Monitoring and Review of Policy​

This policy will be reviewed annually by the Safety Committee to ensure it remains effective in preventing workplace injuries and illnesses.

Responsibility and Accountability​

Management, supervisors, and employees are all responsible for ensuring that this policy is followed. Failure to comply with this policy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
